Tennis Continues MAAC Play Against Sacred Heart

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist men's and women's tennis teams look to bounce back against Sacred Heart on Sunday in Trumbull, CT.

Both teams will play at 5 p.m.
 
Last Time Out - Women
  • The Marist women's tennis team was defeated 6-1 by Quinnipiac on Saturday.
  • Ella Lindsey earned the Red Foxes' sole point, taking a three-set victory at #6 singles.
  • Despite the Red Foxes losing the doubles point, Ellen Zureick and Viktoria Lorentzon succeeded at the #3 spot, earning a 6-4 victory.

Scouting Sacred Heart - Women
  • The Pioneers are 3-7 (1-2 in MAAC play) on the season, having won 5-2 over Monmouth in their last matchup on Saturday.
  • Sacred Heart is on a two-match winning streak, having Defeated Monmouth 5-2 and MAAC Rival Merrimack 7-0.
  • Marist is 3-0 all-time against the Pioneers, most recently beating their opponent 6-1 on April 18, 2006.
  • Freshman Ola Irla-Bartyzel is on a four-match singles winning streak, all at the #1 spot.
