Women's Lacrosse Looks to Bounce Back Against Columbia in Midweek Matchup

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Marist women's lacrosse looks to begin its month-long road trip on a positive note as it travels to face Columbia on Wednesday, March 5.
 
Last Time Out
  • Marist lost a heartbreaker to Binghamton, 8-7, on Saturday, March 1.
  • Sophomore attacker Anne Shine led the offense for the Red Foxes, scoring a hat trick in the first half.
  • Sophomore attacker Kate Gaven tallied two goals for two points.
  • Junior midfielder Jesse Manger added two goals and an assist for three points.
  • Sophomore attacker Kathryn Staker, senior midfielder and captain Chloe Birckhead, sophomore midfielder Catherine Windsor and junior midfielder Caitlin McNaboe each contributed one assist.
 
Shinning off the Bench
  • Anne Shine has been an offensive spark plug for the Red Foxes, recording eight goals and nine points in six games despite starting just once.
  • Against Binghamton, Shine scored her first collegiate hat trick in the first half.
  • After limited play time in her freshman year, Shine has appeared in every game for the Red Foxes in 2025.
 
Scouting Columbia
  • This matchup will be the eighth between Marist and Columbia.
