POUGHKEEPSIE, NY— Marist women's lacrosse will host the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers on Senior Day on Saturday, April 12, at Tenney Stadium in a MAAC Conference affair.

The Senior Day ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11:40 a.m. inside Tenney Stadium.

The game is scheduled to start at noon and will stream on ESPN+.
 

Last Time Out

• The Red Foxes dropped their game against Siena 18-5 on Wednesday, April 5, on the road and have lost their last two games.
• Junior midfielder Jesse Manger led the team with four points, scoring two goals and two assists. 
• Junior midfielder Caitlin McNaboe, sophomore attack/midfield Anne Shine, and sophomore midfielder Catherine Windsor all tallied one goal apiece. 
• Senior attacker Alexa Borges added one assist.
• Sophomore goalie Megan Morris notched 10 saves on 28 shots on net in the loss. 
• The Red Foxes are now 3-11 overall and 2-3 in MAAC conference play. 

 

Manger Danger

• Junior midfielder Jesse Manger has been on a tear in her last five games, scoring nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points, leading the team in that span.
• In Marist's 14 games, in which Manger has started every game, she sits atop the team with 37 points on the season, along with leading the team in assists with 18, and second in goals with 19 
• Manager has led the team in points in their last two matchups, with two goals, two assists, and four points against Siena on April 9 and two goals, three assists, and five points vs Canisius on April 5
• In the five-game span against MAAC opponents, Manger has at least three points in each game and four straight two-goal games. Including two career-high five-point games against Rider on March 22 and against Canisius and a career-high four assists against Rider
• Manager has also added 21 draw controls in her last four games for the Red Foxes, leading the team against Siena and Merrimack on April 2 with five, including a career-high seven against Iona on March 29, upping her total to 46 on the season and second on the team.
• Manger is also seventh overall in the MAAC in Assists Per Game with 1.29 avg/g, and second in assists in MAAC Conference play with 12 for 2.40avg/g
• She is also fifth in Points Per Game in conference play, with 21 and a goals-per-game average of 4.20 in five games.

 

Scouting the Mount

• This will be the fifth matchup between Marist and Mount St. Marys, with the Mount dominating the all-time series 4-0.
• Marist lost the previous matchup vs the Mount 19-9 on April 20, 2024 away.
• The Mount are 8-5 overall and tied for second in the MAAC with a 4-1 record in conference play.
• The Mountaineers dropped their most recent  game against the Niagara Purple Eagles 12-8 on April 9
• The Mount has three players with 30+ points each. Senior midfielder Anna Salerno leads the team with 37 goals and 39 points, Grad. Student attack Mackenzi Furlong has 20 goals, 15 assists and 35 points, and Grad. Student attack Anna Anna McQuay has 28 goals and 30 points.
• Salerno's 37 goals are fourth overall in the MAAC in Goals Per Game with 2.85 avg/g and second with 19 and 3.80 avg/g  in MAAC Conference Play in five games.
• Furlong was named the most recent MAAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week on April 7 after scoring five goals and five assists for 10 points in two games.
• Sophomore Goalie Camille Thomas has started all 13 games for the Mountaineers, posting an 8-5 record with 102 saves and 128 goals allowed.
