POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University women's lacrosse team's season came to an end on Saturday with a 20-10 loss to Fairfield in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference contest at Tenney Stadium.
- Madison Leale scored the game's first two within 53 seconds of each other, and Chloe Birckhead gave Marist a 3-0 lead at the 8:25 mark.
- Fairfield then scored two man-up goals, but Marist held a 3-2 lead after 15 minutes.
- Anne Shine's free-position goal put Marist up 4-2 at 14:17.
- Fairfield then scored five straight goals, including back-to-back goals by Grace Slater in a 38-second span.
- Shine scored four seconds before halftime, which cut Marist's deficit to 7-5 heading to the locker room.
- Fairfield scored the first two goals of the period, but Jesse Manger scored at 12:23 to get Marist within three goals at 9-6.
