POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist University softball team won its fifth Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championship in program history on Sunday with a 10-2 victory in five innings over Siena at Gartland Field.

- Marist broke open the game with a nine-run first.Â
- Siena scored twice in the top of the second.
- Rogers closed out the scoring with a solo blast in the fourth.
- Marist closed the championship out in five when Ronni Howard snared a line drive, and threw it to Gore at first to double off a runner and complete a game-ending double play.

- Marist finished with 10 hits. Pusey, Ahr, Pleasants, and Rogers had two apiece.
- The top four hitters in the Marist lineup (Pusey, McDonald, Ahr, and Pleasants) combined to go 7-for-10 with six runs scored and six RBIs.
- Kiley Myers went all five innings, scattering five hits and striking out three.

- Kiley Myers was named Most Outstanding Player. It was the second time in her career she earned the honor, following her award in 2023.
- Myers became the sixth player in MAAC history to win the award twice in her career. The last was Sarah Jackson at Iona (2010-11).
- Myers' honor marked the ninth straight year that a pitcher was named Most Outstanding Player.
- Haley Ahr, Maddie Pleasants, Peyton Pusey, Samantha Rogers were named to the MAAC All-Championship Team.

- Marist won its fourth MAAC championship under head coach Joe Ausanio (2013, 2016, 2023, 2025).
- Marist won its 17th straight game. The Red Foxes are 36-2-1 since March 1.
- Pleasants' first inning grand slam was the 100th home run hit by Marist this season.
- Marist's 10 runs and eight-run margin of victory were both the most in this year's championship.

- Marist will host an NCAA selection show gathering at the Cornell Boathouse that will be open to the public starting at 6:30 p.m.
- The selection show begins at 7 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN2.
