POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The top-seeded Marist University softball team defeated Siena 2-0 on Thursday to advance to the winners' bracket final of the 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Softball Championship on Thursday at Gartland Field.

- Marist scored the game's first run in the bottom of the third. Ronni Howard led off the inning with a bunt single, and scored on a two-out infield single by Haley Ahr.
- Ahr led off the bottom of the sixth with a solo home run to give the Red Foxes an insurance run.

- Kiley Myers (21-1) went the distance on a two-hitter. She did not walk anyone and struck out six. She needed just 84 pitches to get through her outing.
- Ahr reached safely in all three plate of her appearances, going 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a hit by pitch.
- Alissa Eimont (15-12) pitched a complete game for Siena and allowed just four hits. She threw just 88 pitches.

- Myers tossed her 10th shutout of the season and MAAC-record 22nd of her career.
- Marist tied a program record with its 45th win of the season. The Red Foxes previously won 45 games in 2016.
- Eimont is now 3-1 all-time against Marist.
- Marist has faced Siena seven times since the start of the 2023 season. Both teams have won three, and there has been one tie.

- Siena is now 34-20-1 overall.
