POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist University men's soccer team has earned its first national ranking in program history, which came in this week's United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Rankings.
The Red Foxes are ranked #20 in this week's poll. Marist received votes in last week's poll.
Marist has a record of 5-0-2 this season. Last week, the Red Foxes won both of their matches, earning a 1-0 home triumph over Lehigh on Tuesday and a 5-2 home victory over Quinnipiac on Saturday to open Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play.
On Monday,
Kyle Evans was named MAAC Player of the Week and
Adriano Iannello earned MAAC Rookie of the Week. Evans had two goals and an assist against Quinnipiac, and Iannello notched game-winning goals against both Lehigh and Quinnipiac.
Marist returns to action with a MAAC match at Mount St. Mary's on Saturday at 4 p.m.
