Red Foxes Shine with Four School Records, Two Wins at Fastrack National Invite

STATEN ISLAND, NY - The Marist Red Foxes women's track and field turned in a record-breaking performance Friday at the Fastrack National Invite, hosted at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

Marist posted two individual victories, four school records, and a wave of personal-best marks in an impressive showing against strong regional competition.

Leading the way was Gabrielle Bozeth, who captured the 200-meter dash title in 25.02 seconds. The mark broke her own school record set in 2025, continuing her dominance in the event and securing one of Marist's two individual victories on the day.

The Red Foxes saw significant depth in the 200, highlighted by personal-best performances from Stephania Granados (26.03), Alicia Ramos (26.18), and Makenzy Nielsen (26.28).

In the field events, Alexandra Samperi delivered Marist's second victory, winning the long jump with a leap of 5.77 meters (18 feet, 11.25 inches). The mark stood atop a competitive field and capped a strong day for the Red Foxes in the jumps.

Marist added three more school records in field events:

  • Ruby Kaupp cleared 3.35 meters (11 feet) in the pole vault to set a new program record.

  • Jenna Borselle broke her own 2025 school record in the shot put with a throw of 10.56 meters (34 feet, 7.75 inches).

  • Kelly Ballen set a new standard in the weight throw at 10.55 meters (34 feet, 7 inches), surpassing the previous record she established in 2026.

Grace Murphy added a personal best in the shot put (10.20 meters), while the jumps group showed depth across both horizontal events.

The Red Foxes produced numerous personal bests on the track. In the 400-meter dash, Breelyn McNamara led the way with a personal-best 59.12, while Elise Attiogbe, Julie Cristinzio, and Lauren Capela also recorded indoor bests.

Melina Montgomery and Mackenzie Schubert each turned in personal-best performances in the 800-meter run, and Alicia Ramos posted a 9.40 in the invitational 60-meter hurdles.

Across sprints, hurdles, distance, and field events, Marist continued its strong indoor campaign with one of its most complete performances of the season.
