POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist University women's lacrosse team (4-8, 3-1 MAAC) continues conference play against Canisius, as the Red Foxes face the Golden Griffins on Saturday, April 4 at 10 a.m. inside Demske Sports Complex on ESPN+.
 

LAST TIME OUT

• The Red Foxes earned a 14-9 MAAC victory at Merrimack on April 1.
• Sophomore midfielder Amelia Pirozzi led the Red Foxes with a career-high five goals. 
• Junior captain attack Kate Gaven recorded six points on two goals and four assists, while junior attack Kathryn Staker added one goal and three assists.
• Junior midfielder Madison Leale finished with two goals and one assist. 
• Senior attack Jesse Manger, senior captain midfielder Caitlin McNaboe, junior captain attack Anne Shine, and junior attack Gabby Kingston each added one goal, with Shine and Kingston also recording an assist.

SCOUTING CANISIUS

• The Golden Griffins are 8-4 on the season and 2-2 in conference play.
• Canisius was picked to finished ninth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, but currently sits sixth in the standings.
• Midfielder Maddie Fitzgerald was named to the Preseason All-MAAC Team.
• Freshman Ella Forcucci leads the Golden Griffins with 57 points on the season (43 goals and 14 assists).
• This will mark the 35th meeting in program history between Marist and Canisius, with the all-time series knotted up at 17-17.
