Red Foxes Prepped for Bison Outdoor Classic

LEWISBURG, PA. - Marist men's and women's outdoor track and field teams continue their season at the Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted by Bucknell. 

WOMEN'S LAST TIME OUT
  • It was a historic weekend for Marist women's track & field at the Colonial Relays, as the Red Foxes delivered a record-breaking performance at Zable Stadium on April 3-4
  • Marist placed third out of 23 teams with 75 points – the highest team finish in program history – fueled by an incredible eight school records, all on the women's side. 
  • The 4x100 relay team of Makenzy Nielsen, Gabby Bozeth, Lexy Samperi, and Alyssa Dapont opened the surge with a time of 47.48, breaking a record that had just been set one week prior.
  • The sprint medley relay followed with a mark of 4:06.16, taking down a 24-year-old record from 2002.
  • Marist continued rewriting the record books in the distance medley relay, where Sierra FisherRebecca MaclarenJulia Zydanowicz, and Parker O'Brien combined for a 12:09.12 finish, eclipsing the previous standard set in 2019.
  • The 4x400 relay team of Julia KropoJulianna MirabileGrace Fletcher, and Elise Attiogbe capped the relay sweep with a time of 3:53.01, breaking last year's record.
  • Julianna Mirabile had a standout performance in the 800-meter invitational, as Mirabile won the event in 2:10.08, breaking a 26-year-old school record in dominant fashion.
  • Gabby Bozeth added a victory and record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.42, while Julia Kropo set a new standard in the 400-meter dash at 57.45, surpassing the previous record set in 2017.
  • In the field, Jenna Borselle broke one of the oldest records in program history, winning the shot put with a throw of 11.55 meters, eclipsing a mark that had stood since 1992.
 
MEN'S LAST TIME OUT 
  • The Marist men's track & field team delivered a historic performance of its own at the Colonial Relays, placing sixth out of 23 teams with 54 points at Zable Stadium on April 3-4. The finish marks the highest team placement in program history for the Red Foxes.
  • Marist's success was fueled by standout performances across the sprints, distance events, and hurdles, highlighted by a dominant showing from Amari Mathis. Mathis led the charge with a victory in the 200-meter dash (21.32) and a runner-up finish in the 100-meter dash (10.46), establishing himself as one of the top sprinters at the meet.
  • On the distance side, the Red Foxes showcased impressive depth, particularly in the 10,000 meters, where Jackson Borge placed third with a personal-best time of 31:22.38, followed closely by Kieran Donnelly in fourth (31:26.78). 
  • In the hurdles, Christopher Lynch turned in a strong performance with a second-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles, recording a personal-best 14.98.
  • The steeplechase saw Kevin Cannon earn a podium finish, placing third with a personal-best 9:28.26.
  • Marist's relay teams also contributed valuable points, with the sprint medley relay finishing third and the 4x400 relay placing fifth.
  • In the field, Manasi Simpkins led the way in the long jump with a ninth-place finish, while Daniel Vargas posted a season-best mark in the pole vault.
WOMEN'S LAST TIME OUT AT BISON OUTDOOR CLASSIC
  • The last time the Marist women's track team ran at the Bison Outdoor Classoic was April 12, 2025.
  • The 800-meter run saw two new PRs with Sierra Fisher (41st) finishing at 2:16.00 and Grace Fletcher (48th) with a time of 2:17.08.
  • Freshman Julia Zydanowicz (41st) saw a PR in the 1500-meter run (unseeded) with a time of 4:50.60. 
  • Alexandra Samperi (4th) soared to a new PR in the long jump with a distance of 5.58 meters to open the invitational for the Red Foxes.
  • Emily Litke placed first in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:15.62. Mary Dougherty (6th) also clinched a top-ten finish with a PR of 12:18.22.
  • Isabella Colabatistto (13th) set a PR of 5:02.62 in the 1500-meter run.
  • Madison LaCreta took home second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.33.
  • The 400-meter run saw three PRs with Julia Kropo (3rd) finishing in a time of 59.03, Julie Cristinzio (8th) in a time of 1:01.57, and Nina Florio (9th) at 1:01.72.
  • Julianna Mirabile took first in the 200 meter run with a PR of 1:04.81.
  • Marist 'A' (Mirabile, Stanet, Maclaren, Hawkins) placed second in the 4x400-meter relay, closing in 4:02.61.
 
MEN'S LAST TIME OUT AT BISON OUTDOOR CLASSIC
  • The last time the Marist men's track team ran at the Bison Outdoor Classoic was April 12, 2025.
  • Miles Chamberlain (9th) earned a top-10 finish with his PR of 3:57.46 in the 1500-meter run, setting a new season-best record for Marist.
  • Logan Schaeffler (41st) set a new season-best record for Marist in the 5000-meter run with a time of 14:41.60.
