May 20, 2002

Princeton, NJ---Liza Grudzinski (Branford, Conn.) was the lone Red Fox women's track team member competing in the 19th annual ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend at Princeton University's William Weaver Stadium.

In a competitive field of 19 athletes, Grudzinski crossed the finish line in 11th place, while competing in the 10,000-meters on Friday evening with a time of 37:08.34. Her performance this weekend is the second fastest 10,000-meter time in program history.

In addition to participating in this year's Outdoor ECAC Championships, Grudzinski wrapped up the season having set three new school records, in the 3,000; 5,000; and 10,000-meters, and was this year's Outdoor Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Champion in the 10,000-meter run.
