Hempstead, NY - The Marist College volleyball team traveled to Hofstra today and were defeated by the Pride 3-0. The Red Foxes lost by scores of 30-16, 30-20, and 30-22.

Marist (3-8) struggled as they only hit .018 for the match while Hofstra (9-2) edged them in service aces 9-0 and team blocks 9.5-5.

The Red Foxes were led by Aline dos Santos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) with nine kills and 10 digs while Meghan Cochrane (Placentia, CA) chipped in with 23 assists and eight digs.

Hofstra was led by Stefanie Rewitz with 12 kills and nine digs. Brie Katz added 30 assists for the Pride on the afternoon.

The Red Foxes return home this weekend to host the Marist Invitational that will be played on Friday and Saturday, September 20th-21st, at the McCann Center. Other teams competing are Army, Akron, LaSalle, and Hartford. The tournament schedule is listed below.
