Edison, NJ-The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) office announced the 2003 All-Academic Team for men's outdoor track this afternoon. The Red Foxes led all schools with 13 men named to the team. To receive this honor, students must be in their second year of residence at the collegiate institution, and have a grade point average of at least 3.20.
Named to the men's team this year was junior Eli Bisnett-Cobb (Ballston Spa, NY). Bisnett-Cobb is one of the top hurdlers for the Red Foxes this season. Senior Kirk Dornton (Syracuse, NY), was also named to the team. Dornton recently broke the 10K record, while also recording the highest finish for a Red Fox runner in men's track history at the Penn Relays.
Rounding out the MAAC All-Academic Team were junior Richard Ambrosio (Medford, NY), senior Patrick Brodfuehrer (Syracuse, NY), sophomore Geoffrey Decker (Delmar, NY), senior Teddy Ebberts (Ogdensburg, NY), senior Jason Grady (Clinton Corners, NY), sophomore Michael Guarascio (Patchogue, NY), sophomore Nate Parenti (Bearsville, NY), junior Adam Ritter (Poughkeepsie, NY), sophomore Eric Stelz (Commack, NY), sophomore Patrick Taylor (Baldwinsville, NY), and junior Charles Williams (Commack, NY).
The men's indoor track team is in action Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4th, when they compete at the MAAC Championships held on the campus of Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ.
