OLEAN, N.Y. (AP) - Jared Jordan scored 22 points and added seven assists,
leading Marist to a 74-58 victory over St. Bonaventure Tuesday.
Will McClurkin added 15 points and 11 rebounds as the Red Foxes (2-1) won
the first-ever meeting of the two schools.
A 3-pointer from Will Whittington late in the second half started a 14-2
Marist run that put the team ahead for good.
Wade Dunston led St. Bonaventure (0-2) with 17 points, while Ahmad Smith
added 15 and Patrick Lottin scored 12.
The Bonnies brought the game within six with 4:20 left in the second half as
Smith had a steal and passed it to Dunston for the layup. Smith then made a
free throw to bring the score to 60-54, the closest the Bonnies came.
Marist, which went on a 16-0 run in the first half, led 36-25 at halftime.
The Red Foxes held their greatest lead, 21 points, with 5:53 left in the first
half.
