Water Polo Drops Pair At Princeton Invite

The Marist College women's water polo team returned to action this afternoon in the Princeton Invitational. The Red Foxes dropped two matches on the afternoon and fall to 1-6 overall and the year and 0-1 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Water Polo League action.

The Red Foxes opened the day with a 16-2 loss at the hands of the host Princeton Tigers. Freshman Jillian Jeffords and junior Carolyn Rosler tallied the Marist goals.

Marist dropped a 12-3 decision to Villanova in its second match of the day, and its first MAAC Water Polo League game of the season. Three different Red Foxes scored on the day, as Jeffords scored her second of the day and Kerin Sovern and Ashley Woerner added a goal apiece.

The Red Foxes will continue play on Sunday, February 15th, at the Princeton Invitational.
