POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has announced its 2026 Water Polo major award winners on Friday morning, as five Red Foxes received conference honors in four major categories. The major award distinctions include the recognition of Head Coach
Chris Vidale as the MAAC Coach of the Year and Ines Sanchez earning MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year honors.
Paige Naegle earned All-MAAC Second Team honors in her senior season for the Red Foxes. Naegle recorded 62 goals, 21 assists, 24 steals, and two blocks in 29 matches.
Junior
Kendell De Beer was voted to the All-MAAC First Team. In 29 matches, De Beer recorded 78 goals, 32 assists, 23 steals, and nine blocks.
Radaelli earned All-MAAC First Team honors in her first season with the Red Foxes. She tallied 40 goals, 33 assists, 11 blocks, and led the team with 32 steals in 29 matches played.
Sanchez earned All-MAAC First Team honors and was named MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year. She had a career year with the Red Foxes as the top goalkeeper in the MAAC. She recorded an outstanding 271 saves on 388 shots faced, for an impressive 70% save percentage. Along with a great season in net, she also recorded 15 assists, 27 steals, and her first career goal. En route to helping Marist go 24-5, she was honored with five Defensive Player of the Week awards.
Vidale led Marist to a regular season championship and the #1 seed in the MAAC Championships. He coached the Red Foxes to an outstanding 24-5 overall record and an undefeated 8-0 conference record.
The Red Foxes start their quest for a MAAC Championship on Saturday afternoon at 4 pm in the quarterfinal round against La Salle.
