Results

Flushing, NY- The Marist College men's tennis team had a strong showing this afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center, knocking of seventh-seeded Rider 7-0.

At the number one singles, senior Chris Hagen blanked Frank Ruggiero, 6-0, 6-0, while Ray Josephs also shutout Mike Greenberg, 6-0, 6-0 at the number four singles. Freshman Jeff Nguyen set down Dan Stupp in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 while fellow freshman Frank Algier downed Chris Stanco, 6-1, 6-4.

In doubles play, Hagen and Pedro Genovese made quick work of Elliot Eiche and Chris Stanco defeating the pair, 8-1. The duo of Nick Bass and Mark Santucci picked up an exciting victory over Ruggiero and Neil McConnell, 8-3.

The Red Foxes return to action tomorrow as they face #3 Niagara tomorrow at 1:30pm in the semifinal round of the MAAC Tournament.
