Edison, NJ - Marist freshman Lindsay Diener (Nanuet, NY) was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week as announced by the league offices today. Diener had a stellar weekend in her collegiate playing debut. She pushed the Red Foxes to a 10-8 victory over Villanova on Saturday with three goals, two assists and three caused turnovers. On Sunday, Diener netted four goals in Marist's 17-7 loss to Drexel.

In total, Diener had seven goals and two assists on the week. This was the first week of awards for MAAC women's lacrosse. The Red Foxes are 1-1 on the season and will host St. Joseph's on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in their home opener.
