Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - Hello all! There's a lot of studying to do, so I'll keep this week's entry short and sweet.

Although only a MAAC Championship could surpass our California trip, our first win of the season came pretty close. We played in the Army Open tournament at West Point and had some great competition - California Riverside came from across the country to get a taste of the East Coast. Even though we didn't win the entire tournament, it was great to beat St. Francis (N.Y.) in our final match.

This weekend we are all looking forward to our first home tournament where we will face some good teams. Lafayette, Dartmouth and Stony Brook are all coming here for the Red Fox Classic on Sept. 16-17. It should be an awesome weekend and I hope that everyone who can make it comes out to support the one and only Marist Red Foxes volleyball team.
