West Point: Sophomore Lisa D'Aniello (Niskayuna, NY) placed 1st in the mile and broke the school record of 5:06.61 set in 2002 with a 5:05.85 effort, while fellow sophomores Kerri Mannino (Amityville, NY) won the 5000 in a personal best of 19:18.91. Chris Wahl (Lancaster, NY) captured the 1000 by 11 seconds in a season's best 3:06.82. Wahl also placed 3rd in the mile with a season's best 5:16.85. Freshman Jen McNamara (North Attleboro, MA) placed 1st in the 60-meter hurdles with a 9.41 clocking followed closely in 2nd by Chrissy McDevitt (Woodbury, CT) who crossed the finish in 9.52. Frosh Katie Topalian (Camp Hill, PA) placed 3rd in the 5000 with a 19:38.02 followed by soph Heidi Richards (Northport, NY) who ran a season's best 19:46.25. Mannino & Topalian also placed 4th and 5th in the 3000. Freshman Maureen LaClair placed 2nd in the 400 and 5th in the 200 with times of 61.77 and 27.28.
The women compete next at the Metropolitan Championship on Sunday, February 5th at the New Balance Armory in NYC at 5 PM.
