POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - For the second time this season Marist freshman attack Corey Zindel (Randolph, N.J.) is the MAAC Lacrosse League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Zindel also earned the honor on Feb. 25.

Zindel had a team-high 10 points last week in games against Quinnipiac and Virginia Military Institute. On Wednesday's 10-7 loss to Quinnpiac, he had a hat trick with three assists. Zindel followed up that effort with two goals and two assists against VMI in the Red Foxes' league opener. He is currently second in the MAAC in goals per game with 2.25 and tied for second in points with 3.75 a game.

Marist returns to action tomorrow when they take on North Carolina in Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels are ranked fourth in the latest Nike/Inside Lacrosse media poll released on Monday. Gametime is 7 p.m.
