POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Marist men's basketball team officially began preparations for the 2010-11 season on Friday, as the Red Foxes held their first practice in the evening.
The Red Foxes will have a youthful team this year, with 10 of the 13 scholarship players being underclassmen. Marist welcomes freshmen Menelik Watson (Manchester, England) also look to make their debuts for the Red Foxes this season after both sat out last season.
Marist brings back four starters from last year's team in senior forward Rob Johnson (Atlanta, Ga.), sophomore guard Candon Rusin (Surf City, N.C.). Rusin was selected to the MAAC All-Rookie Team last season.
Red Fox Club memberships for the 2010-11 season, which include men's and women's basketball season tickets, access to the Red Fox Den and premium parking, are on sale now.
