The Red Foxes will take on #1 and top-seeded Maryland on Saturday, May 15 in College Park, Md at 12 p.m. Marist won its second Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference title in three years on May 2, defeating Fairfield 9-7 at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field.

The Red Foxes enter the NCAA Tournament with a 10-7 record, having won five of their last six games and seven of their last nine. Maryland is currently ranked #1 in the country, having won back-to-back Atlantic Coast Conference championships. The Terrapins defeated then-#1 North Carolina 10-5 on April 25 to win the ACC title. Maryland enters the tournament with an 18-1 record, with its lone loss coming on April 10 when the Terrapins lost at North Carolina 13-9.
