CAMBRIDGE, MASS. - The Marist men's tennis team kicked off the spring portion of its season on Friday at the Harvard Winter Classic. The Red Foxes earned three wins in singles action and added a doubles victory to open tournament play. Two of the three singles wins came in straight sets.
In singles action, Marist got wins from freshmen Landon Greene (Palos Verdes, Calif.). Reznek defeated Mac McAnulty 6-4, 6-4 and Rossi posted a 6-4, 6-3 win over Alexei Chijoff-Evans in his first collegiate match with the Red Foxes. Greene posted a three-set win over Casey MacMaster 7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-4.
Reznek paired with senior Marcus von Nordheim (Munich, Germany) with an 8-6 win over Brendan Seaver and Will McNamee.
Marist will return to the courts on Saturday, Jan. 22 when it continues play at the Harvard Winter Classic.
