InBRONX, N.Y. - The Marist men's cross country team earned a second-place finish at Friday's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships, which were held at Van Cortlandt Park. It was the seventh straight year and ninth time overall the Red Foxes took second in the event.

Iona, which entered the meet ranked 10th nationally, won its 21st straight conference championship.

The Red Foxes had three runners earn All-MAAC honorees by virtue of a top-15 finish. Senior William Griffin (Columbia, Conn.) finished sixth in 25:03.4, the second-fastest time ever posted by a Marist runner at Van Cortlandt Park.
