PHILADELPHIA - Two Marist College distance runners earned IC4A qualifying marks in their respective events, leading the Marist College men's track team at the Penn Relays late Thursday and Friday.
Two weeks after setting the school record at 10,000 meters, redshirt sophomore Will Griffin improved his personal-best time in the 5,000-meter run by 12 seconds and qualified for the IC4A Championships, placing 10th in the College Division 5,000-meter event late Thursday night in 14:35.85. The time just dipped under the IC4A standard of 14:36.00.

On Friday afternoon, the Marist 1,600-meter relay team of Chris Coscio, Phil Krupka, Chris Vanzetta and Matt Panebianco finished fourth in its section in a time of 3:30.01.
The Marist track team returns to action on Sunday at the Yale Springtime Invitational.
