POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist Athletics Department held a Media Day program for the men's and women's basketball teams on Wednesday at McCann Arena.

Approximately 20 media members from local print, television and radio outlets, including professional and student media, attended the event. Both the men's and women's teams and coaching staffs were in attendance.

The Marist men's and women's basketball teams will both start their seasons on Friday, Nov. 9. The women will host Vermont at 6 p.m. in a contest which will be televised on ESPN3. Prior to the game, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Preseason Awards Show will be held live at McCann Arena. The men's team will then host Stony Brook at 9 p.m. Separate tickets will be required for each game.
