NEWARK, N.J. - The Marist men's tennis team had their first dual match of the spring on Saturday, winning at 4-3 at NJIT. The Red Foxes won four of the six singles matches on the day.
Matt Himmelsbach (Longmeadow, Mass.), Will Reznek (Toronto, Canada), Joseph Dube (Livonia, Mich.) and Dalen Klassen (St. Louis, Mo.) all won their singles matches to give Marist enough of an advantage to defeat the Highlanders.
The doubles team of Matteo Giudici (Parma, Italy) and Billy Bishop (Houston, Texas) won their match, but NJIT won the other two doubles matchups to take the doubles point.
The Red Foxes are back in action next Saturday as they travel to Columbia for another dual match.
