Marist Football Travels To Davidson For PFL Contest

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Marist football team (3-3 overall, 2-1 Pioneer Football League) will face Davidson (0-6, 0-3) in a PFL contest on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

The Red Foxes are coming off a 35-33 loss at San Diego, which snapped a three-game winning streak. Senior quarterback Chuckie Looney (Ocala, Fla.) set a single-game program record with five touchdown passes in the contest, which earned him PFL Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Davidson is in its first season under head coach Paul Nichols, a Davidson graduate ('03) who is the second-youngest head coach in Division I football. Senior quarterback Jonathan Carkhuff leads all active FCS players in completions and attempts, and has thrown for 10,091 career yards.

Marist will return home next week to play Stetson, which re-started its program this year. The Red Foxes will play three of their final four regular-season games at Tenney Stadium.

Fans can listen live to Ed Weir (play-by-play) and Mike Ferraro (color) beginning at 12:45 p.m. EDT. The contest will be air live on WKIP (1450 AM in Poughkeepsie), the Red Fox Network and iHeartRadio.
