EDISON, N.J. - Senior center Tori Jarosz (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference player of the Week for the first time in her career, the conference announced Monday.
Jarosz averaged 18.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 2 steals in two games and her first game action of the year for the Red Foxes. Returning from injury the redshirt senior center made an immediate impact starting on Friday against Monmouth. Jarosz recorded 20 points, seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals in just 17 minutes in a Red Fox victory.
On Sunday against Rider Jarosz would again lead the Red Foxes on offense and defense recording a game high 17 points to go along with six rebounds, three blocks and two steals in 18 minutes. The Red Foxes would go on to win both games this weekend and improve to 2-0 in the MAAC.
Jarosz and the Red Foxes will play their third straight game at home in December as they take on non-conference opponent Albany on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 7 P.M. The Red Foxes are 2-1 all-time against the Great Danes.
