Water Polo Falls to UCSD 15-9

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Marist water polo team fell to the University of California San Diego 15-9 in the first day of the UCSD Invite.

Freshman Amanda Amorosa led the Red Foxes with three goals. Also for the Red Foxes, juniors Jessica Hamby (Sacramento, Calif.) and Hannah Levien (Davis, Calif.) tallied two goals each. Hamby also compiled two assists and a field block. Sophomore Skyler Henry (San Diego, Calif.) made 11 saves with one steal.

Marist capitalized on four out of 15 six-on-five opportunities, while also posting a shorthanded goal in the third quarter.

The Red Foxes go on to compete against Cal State East Bay tomorrow at 9:20 a.m., pacific time.
