Marist's Aprile Named CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District

POUGHKEEPSIE – Recent graduate Jesse Aprile (Yorktown, N.Y.) of the Marist track & field team has been named First Team CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District.

Aprile departs the program holding five school records: the 60- and 200-meter dashes indoors in addition to the 100- and 200-meter dashes outdoors. He is also a part of the school-record holding 4 X 100-meter outdoor relay. The indoor 200 record of 22.71 seconds was set at this year's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. He had five top-six individual finishes in his career at the MAAC championships.

On May 24, Aprile received his Bachelor's of Science degree. A Biology major, he graduated Cum Laude.

Aprile is the fifth student-athlete in the Marist Athletics Department to earn an Academic All-District honor this season, following Tyler Ramsey (football), Brooke Zywick (volleyball), Mark Brennan (baseball) and Joseph Dube (men's tennis). The Marist Athletics Department now has a total of 90 All-District honorees in its history.

By virtue of attaining First Team Academic All-District status, Aprile is now eligible for Academic All-American consideration.
