Marist's Scarcello Named USILA Scholar All-American

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist senior goalie Dave Scarcello has been named a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Scholar All-American.

On the field, Scarcello helped lead the Red Foxes to a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) championship and NCAA Tournament First Four victory in 2015. He started all 18 of the team's games, posting a 14-4 record to go along with a .570 save percentage and 8.48 goals-against average. Scarcello currently ranks seventh in the country in save percentage, 15th in goals-against average and 18th in saves per game.

Scarcello was named Most Outstanding Player of the MAAC Championships, earned three MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honors, and was named ECAC Defensive Player of the Week once this season.

Off the field, Scarcello earned the PIzzani Award at Marist's Senior Awards Banquet. He is one of two men's lacrosse representatives on Marist's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team each of the past two seasons.
