BOSTON, Massachusetts -- The women's track team capped the indoor season in remarkable record fashion, as the 3,200-meter relay team shattered the school record by nearly eight seconds, competing at the ECAC Championships at Boston University.
In the first of two relays for the squad, the team of Shea Bohan, Kerry Gaye, Denise Grohn and Emily Burns placed 13th overall in 9:12.60 on Saturday night. This demolished the previous mark of 9:20.43, set in 2012. Bohan led off with a 2:17.95 split. She was followed by Gaye (2:19.19), Grohn (2:19.12) and Burns (2:16.01) – all personal-best split times. The time also qualifies the squad for the outdoor ECAC Championships.
On Sunday, the distance medley relay team of Bohan, Danisha Craig, Gaye and Burns finished 16th overall in 12:02.32 – the second-fastest time in school history.
This concludes the indoor track season for the Running Red Foxes.
