NEW HAVEN, Connecticut – Swimming and diving are back in action at Southern Connecticut State on Saturday, January 20
th.Â

LAST TIME OUT – MEN:
The men dominated the competition last week, beating Binghamton 209.5-90.5 and BC 204-96. At Binghamton, the team went 1-2-3 in the 1000 yard free, 500 yard free, 200 yard free and 100 fly.
Evan Nilsson claimed victories in the 1000 freestyle, 100 back and 200 back while
Jackson Klarsfeld added wins in the 200 IM and 200 breast. Against BC, the men won 14 of 16 events. Nilsson had a repeat performance and
Murray Coueslant picked up wins in the 200 fly, 200 free and 100 fly.

Peter Gallino won the 1 and 3 meter dives at both Binghamton and BC.

LAST TIME OUT – WOMEN:
The women fell short of victory, falling to Binghamton 159-141 and BC 166-134.
Georgeanne Zimmerman swept her events for the week, earning victories in the 200 IM, 200 breast and 100 breast against both Binghamton and BC.
Sara Nestrowitz added victories in the 1000 yard and 500 yard free against Binghamton and the 500 free against BC.

Esabelle Gervasio won the 1 meter and 3 meter against BC and the 1 meter against Binghamton.
Lauren Katz won the 3 meter with a personal best of 255.3 at Binghamton and tied for first with Gervasio on the 1 meter against BC.

MAAC WEEKLY AWARDS:
Swimming and diving swept the weekly awards last week.
Peter Gallino and
Esabelle Gervasio won diver of the week and
Evan Nilsson and
Georgeanne Zimmerman won swimmer of the week.

SCOUTING SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT - MEN:
The men's team edged Le Moyne 147-134. Tahj Mitchell-Westberry had a win in the 50 free and was part of the first place 200 medley relay. He was named NE10 rookie of the week for his performance.

SCOUTING SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT - WOMEN:
The women's team beat Le Moyne 149-138. Hannah Morse, Lilly Martin, Emily Wolfe and Katherine Crochet's win in the 200 medley led them to a NE10 Relay of the Week honor.

Swimming and diving will hold their final home meet of the season against Bryant University on Saturday January 27
th at 1:00 PM. The team will honor the seniors before the start of the meet.
