POUGHKEEPSIE, New York –
Brian Corrigan was named a preseason honorable All-American by Inside Lacrosse in their 2018 Face-Off Yearbook magazine. The senior was given preseason honorable All-American recognition by Inside Lacrosse last season as well.
Â
"Our program is really proud of Brian and knows he has worked incredibly hard to achieve the recognition that he deserves." said head coach
Keegan Wilkinson. "His ability in the net and as a competitor has helped enter his name into great company with the other preseason All Americans as we enter the 2018 season. We know that he will be working as hard as ever to help our team perform on a daily basis at practice and on game day."
Â
Corrigan is the only goalie in the nation to be ranked in the top ten in save percentages (second), goals against average (third in 2017, eighth in 2016) and saves (seventh) each of the last two seasons. He was an All-ECAC second team and MAAC Defensive Player of the Year selection in 2016 and an All-MAAC first team selection in 2017.
Â
Going into his third year as a starter for the Red Foxes, Corrigan was named a team captain earlier in the season. Corrigan has earned All-Academic MAAC honors in each of his last three seasons.
