POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – MAAC No. 2 women's soccer will host Fairfield tomorrow for their final match of the regular season before entering the conference tournament. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.
- The Red Foxes tied at Quinnipiac on Saturday afternoon.
- Bianca Furci scored in the 37th minute off a corner kick assist by Alexa Svensson to take the lead 1-0.
- Quinnipiac turned up the shot attempts in the second half, tallying 12 to Marist's 4.
- The Bobcats' Selena Salas fired in a shot that had rebounded off the crossbar to tie the game 1-1 in the 51st minute.
- The score would remain tied through the rest of regulation and two overtime periods, despite solid attempts from both teams.
- Goalkeeper Abigail Renaud made 6 saves to keep the Red Foxes in the game.
- In their last outing, Fairfield was defeated 2-0 by Niagara despite holding the advantage in shots and shots-on-goal.
- The team holds a 2-5-2 MAAC record.
- Alex Madden leads the conference in goals with 12 and points with 25.
- Sara Plowman (3G, 2A) and Gabby Diodati (1G, 6A) have eight points each.
- Aytana Muschajew has been defending the net, and has recorded 59 saves this season with a .720 save percentage.
- With a win or a tie OR a Siena tie/loss, Marist will cement their No. 2 seed and earn a first-round bye in the MAAC tournament.
- Alexa Svensson leads the MAAC with eight assists and is one away from tying the school record held by Rycke Guiney (2011).
- Five players this season have scored three or more goals.
- With a win or a tie, Marist will earn their best MAAC record since 2012 (8-1-0).
- The Red Foxes were selected to finish seventh in the Conference Preseason Poll, and have greatly exceeded expectations by earning a record of 6-2-1 with a game left.

The MAAC Championships begin! The first round will be held on Sunday, October 28. The top two seeds in the MAAC standings will receive a bye and play the winners of the first round on November 1.
