PISCATAWAY, New Jersey – The men's swimming and diving team climb up to fourth place on day two of ECAC Championships with 207 points. They edge top ranked Penn by half a point.

Peter Gallino rebounded from a rough 1-Meter performance to take first in the 3-Meter diving with a score of 281.20 points. He was awarded with ECAC Diver of the Meet, making it the third year in a row that he has earned this recognition. His brother
David Gallino put together a fifth place performance.

The 800 free relay team of
Murray Coueslant,
Michael O'Donovan,
Evan Nilsson and
Miguel Madeira swam a fourth place finish in 6:43.21, just a second behind Navy. The 200 medley relay team of
Robert McDowell,
Edward Oser,
Gregory Violette and
Daniel Knoll finished in seventh with a time of 1:33.31. The team swam almost four seconds faster than eighth place Loyola Maryland.

Evan Nilsson had the highest individual final for the men. He finished the 200 free in sixth place with a time of 1:39.33, just .03 off from fifth.
Miguel Madeira won the B-final to place ninth with a time of 1:39.94.

Edward Oser raced the 100 breaststroke final, clocking in at 56.98 for a seventh place finish.
Sam Presgraves competed in the B-final, earning a sixteenth place finish with a time of 58.77 seconds.

Senior
Robert McDowell was the lone finisher in the backstroke finals, swimming the B-final with a time of 51.06 seconds to finish fourteenth overall.
