PISCATAWAY, New Jersey – The men's swimming and diving team closed out the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships with a third place finish and 333 points. The team was originally in fifth place after the final day, but after the addition of day two diving points, the team was bumped into third. This is the highest finish for the men in school history at this event.

In the final relay of the weekend, the men's relay team of
Daniel Knoll,
Mark Miller,
Evan Nilsson and
Miguel Madeira swam the 400 relay in 3:05.81, checking in at sixth place.

The men's strongest individual event of the day came during the 200 breaststroke.
Sam Presgraves and
Edward Oser finished seventh and eighth in the final, while
Jackson Klarsfeld won the B-final to place ninth.

Senior
Robert McDowell capped off his career by swimming in the 200 backstroke finial event. He finished with a time of 1:50.86, good enough for eighth place.

Freshman
Murray Coueslant won the B-final for the 200 fly in 1:50.49. Sophomore
Michael O'Donovan was the lone Red Fox to swim the 1650 free, finishing in eighth place with a time of 15:45.06. Junior
Daniel Knoll swam the B-final of the 100 free, clocking in at 46.51 for a fourteenth place finish.

Peter Gallino and
Raislan Aiken will return to Rutgers to conclude the season at the NCAA Zone Qualifier Diving Championships. The event takes place from March 5-6. This is the first year Aiken will be competing and the third for Gallino.
