Men's lacrosse swept the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Awards for the first week of season play.
Brian Corrigan was named Defensive Player of the Week and
Jason Intermesoli was named both Rookie and Offensive Player of the Week for their performances against Bucknell last Saturday.
Intermesoli scored his first career goal and the Red Foxes' first goal of the season in an extra man opportunity two minutes into the game. The freshman finished the game with three points from two goals and one assist. He added one ground ball and one caused turnover as well.
The preseason All-MAAC Goalie finished the day with 10 saves and a save percentage of .476. Corrigan's most exciting play of the game came when he shot the ball from across the field to score his first career goal.
The Red Foxes will host Colgate at Tenney Stadium for their home opener Saturday. Game time is set for 1 PM.
