POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist softball team has traveled to Texas as it continues its 13-game, 10-day trip over Spring Break. The Red Foxes will play three mid-week games on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by five tournament games from Friday through Sunday.
 
Marist is 6-9 so far this season. The Red Foxes have played in three weekend tournaments, and have gone 2-3 in each one. This past weekend, Marist went 2-1 against Santa Clara and 0-2 against Cal Poly. Red-shirt sophomore Claire Oberdorf hit a team-best .500, while junior Megan Beiermeister pitched two complete games with a 0.50 ERA.

Tuesday
Marist plays a doubleheader at Sam Houston State. First pitch of game one is set 4 p.m. Eastern, with the second game following shortly afterward.
 
The Bearkats are 9-13 overall, and are coming off a three-game sweep of Incarnate Word this past weekend.

Wednesday
The Red Foxes have added a game against Houston Baptist to their schedule. Houston Baptist is 2-11 this season, and was most recently swept in a three-game series against Nicholls this past weekend.
 
Houston Baptist has faced one Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opponent this season, and split a pair of games against Niagara at the GCU Purple Classic in late February.

Weekend
The Red Foxes will play five games in three days in the Reveille Classic, hosted by Texas A&M. Here is the tournament schedule:
