POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Red-shirt junior linebacker
Grant Dixon of the Marist football team was named First Team All-Pioneer Football League on Tuesday.
Dixon, a second-year captain, led the Red Foxes in total tackles (86), solo tackles (49), and tackles for loss (10.5). He also tallied four sacks, two pass break-ups, an interception, and a forced fumble. In PFL play, Dixon ranked in the league's top five in tackles for loss (second), tackles per game (fourth), and sacks (tied for fourth). Dixon was named a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection this season, and was a PFL Honorable Mention choice in 2018.

Anthony Olivencia and red-shirt sophomore safety
Kyle Fleitman were each named Second Team All-PFL. Olivencia led the Red Foxes in receptions (36) and receiving yards (615), and tied for the team lead in receiving touchdowns (three). Fleitman was second on the team in interceptions (two), and tied for second in tackles (62) and pass break-ups (five) while also recording five-and-a-half tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.

The Marist football team finished the 2019 season at 4-7 overall and 4-4 in PFL play. It marked the seventh time in the Red Foxes' 11 years in the PFL that they finished at least .500 in league play. Marist won a share of the league title in 2013.
