POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Jason Myers, who graduated from Marist in 2013, begins his 11
th season in the National Football League on Sunday.

Myers is entering his seventh season as the Seattle Seahawks' placekicker. The Seahawks open their 2025 schedule on Sunday at home against the San Francisco 49ers at 4:05 p.m. Eastern.

Myers started his NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2015. After three seasons in Jacksonville, he made his first Pro Bowl appearance as a member of the New York Jets in 2018. He signed a multi-year contract with Seattle in 2019, and he then signed a multi-year extension in the winter of 2023 following his second selection to the Pro Bowl.

In addition to his two Pro Bowl selections, Myers has enjoyed plenty of success over the past decade:

- Is coming off a 2024 season with nine field goals of 50 yards or more. This was a career high and Seahawks' franchise record.
- Led the NFL in scoring in 2022. In addition to his Pro Bowl selection, was named to the inaugural NFLPA All-Pro Team and PWFA All-NFC Team.
- Made a Seahawks' record 37 straight field goals from 2019-21. Hit all 24 of his field goal attempts in 2020.
- Set an NFL record with five made field goals of at least 55 yards with the Jets in 2018.
- Has made six career game-winning kicks.

Myers played at Marist from 2009-12. He hit the game-winning field goal with two seconds remaining in a 23-21 triumph over Georgetown as a freshman in 2009. As a junior in 2011, he hit a 49-yard field goal at Davidson, which set a program record that has since been tied but never surpassed. As a senior, Myers handled the Red Foxes' placekicking, kickoff, and punting duties. He led the Pioneer Football League in touchbacks as a sophomore, junior, and senior. Myers graduated as the Red Foxes' all-time leading scorer among placekickers.
