POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Water polo (5-5) will play its first home games on the season as it hosts the Red Fox Invitational on Feb. 23-24. The Red Foxes will play all three of their games on Saturday, with a senior day ceremony taking place before the final game with Mercyhurst.

- Marist vs. George Washington - 9:00 a.m.
- Marist vs. Princeton - 12:00 p.m.
- Marist vs. Mercyhurst - 7:30 p.m.
- Water polo competed at the two-day Triton Invitational on Feb. 9-10, the toughest tournament in the country. The Red Foxes performed well, going 2-2 against ranked competition in La Jolla, California.
- Marist opened the competition with a loss to #11 UC Davis, but defeated Santa Clara that evening thanks to an impressive four-goal performance from Katherine Tijerina.
- The Red Foxes were topped by hosts #20 UC San Diego on day two of competition, but went on to upset #21 Cal State Northridge to finish 11th in the tournament.
- Myriam Lizotte scored a hat trick to propel Marist to victory over Northridge, and Carsen Horvatich made 10 saves in the net to block 58.8% of the shots on goal.
- Overall, Justine Castro, Susan Cantoni and Tijerina led the team for the weekend with five goals apiece. Horvatich made 30 saves in four games and was named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week.
- The George Washington Colonials are 1-1 on the season, earning a 13-10 win over St. Francis Brooklyn and falling to Villanova, 14-11, at the Princeton Invitational. Alana Ponce leads the team with ten goals, and Jaleh Moaddeli has piled up six goals, four assists and eight steals. Samantha Runyon made 14 saves in the pair of games.
- #14 Princeton is 5-2 so far in the season. Last time, they defeated Villanova 15-7 thanks to four goals and five assists from Amy Castellano. Castellano has 16 goals on the season, and Laura Larkin and Eliza Britt have 14 and 11 to contribute to the Tigers' success.
- Mercyhurst is 1-3 on the season, earning their win over Virginia Military institute. Sarah Hershey led the team with four goals and an assist to lift the Lakers over the Keydets. Sarah O-Keefe made 12 saves in the net for Mercyhurst.
The Red Fox seniors will be honored before the game for their hard work and commitment as part of the program. The members of the water polo Class of 2019 amassed over 60 wins and 30 conference wins in their four years on campus, reaching the MAAC Championship finals in all three seasons.

The Red Foxes take part in the Wolverine Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan on March 2-3. The team will play in four matches, including Long Beach State, Pacific, Fresno State and a rematch with UC San Diego.
