PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania - Marist water polo (19-13, 10-1 MAAC) took care of business on the first day of their road trip, defeating Siena 12-6 and St. Francis Brooklyn 16-8. The Red Fox defense was dominant once again, holding both teams to below 30.0 percent shooting.
 

Siena SUMMARY

• The Red Foxes held the Saints to two goals in the entire first half, and then erupted in the third period with six goals to pull away for good.
• Jocelyn Castro, Ariana Singer, Susan Cantoni and Myriam Lizotte scored twice each to pace the Marist offense.
• Lauren Smith, Anais Mathes, Katherine Tijerina and Lexi Puhl added a goal apiece to secure the victory.
• Carsen Horvatich blocked five shots for a save percentage of 45.5 in the net.
• The Red Foxes fired 28 shots on 42.9 percent shooting while holding the Saints to 21 shots on 28.6 percent shooting.

St. Francis Brooklyn Summary

• Marist led the entire game, finding the net nine times in the first half while holding the Terriers to three goals.
