POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist water polo cruised past Iona 14-3 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Semifinal Game at McCann Natatorium. The Red Foxes displayed a balanced attack with 13 different players finding the back of the net. Marist advances to the final round of the MAAC Championship and will face defending Champion Wagner.

- 16 players in total scored a point for Marist. Grace Doerfler was the sole Marist player to score multiple goals with two.
- Iona was held scoreless up until the fourth quarter.
- Marist passed the ball well, tallying assists on all 14 goals. Five different players had two assists including goalkeeper Carsen Horvatich.
- Katherine Tijerina had three steals in the game while the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year had two.
- Carsen Horvatich and Marina Hyham split time in the goal with Horvatich making five saves and Hyham tallying six.
- Marist held Iona to 0-7 on power plays and a .136 shooting percentage. The Red Foxes were selective and accurate with their shots, finishing the day with a .609 shooting percentage.

Marist will take on Wagner at 2 PM in McCann Natatorium. If Marist wins, it will earn its first MAAC Championship since 2010.
