PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island - #24 Marist water polo continues their competitive schedule at the Bruno Classic on Saturday, February 1. Hosted by Brown, the Red Foxes will play DIII #3 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and #23 Bucknell.

- Marist battled hard at the Wolverine Invitational, but ultimately could not earn upsets over #9 UC Santa Barbara, #11 Pacific, #5 UCLA and #23 Indiana.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Marina Hyham appeared in three games and recorded 19 saves and three steals, earning MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
- Freshman Shinae Carrington led the offense with eight goals, an assist, a steal and two field blocks.
- Myriam Lizotte and Viktoria Orlova each chipped in four goals to contribute to the team scoring.
- Claremont-Mudd-Scripps have yet to begin their 2020 season, with their first game on Friday against Austin. They ended 2019 at 9-15 overall. Junior Amelia Ayala led the Athenas last season with 32 goals, 13 assists, 30 steals and a field block.
- #23 Bucknell starts their season against Marist on Saturday. They finished 2019 at 25-12, ranked 17th in the nation. They defeated the Red Foxes at the 2019 Bruno Classic by a score of 11-7.
Marist water polo travels to San Diego for the Triton Invitational, where they will go to work against a pool of the best programs in the country. The Red Foxes open the tournament against hosts #8 UC San Diego, and the rest of the opponents will be determined based on tournament results.
