POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Senior attack
Ellie Petraccione of the Marist Women's Lacrosse team has been named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Student Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Petraccione is an environmental science/policy major and is also a member of the Marist Honors program. Her honors thesis on why non-scientists should care about protecting the environment was featured on Marist's website. You can find the write-up

The senior attack appeared in two games this season in a reserve role, and appeared in seven games in her career. She scored her first career goal against Siena in 2017. Petraccione is also a two-time member of the MAAC All-Academic, an ECAC President's Honor Roll selection in 2018, and has made the Dean's List in all seven of her previous semesters on campus.
In addition to lacrosse and the Honors Program, Petraccione is also the Marist Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Co-Director of Community Service, a member of Marist's LEAP (Ladies Empowering Athletic Programs) Council, and a peer mentor.
