POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's and men's indoor track & field teams open their seasons on Saturday. The Red Foxes are headed to Boston University to compete in the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener, an all-day event that will go from approximately 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.
This is the first indoor competition for the Red Foxes since March of 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference teams did not compete in the 2020-21 indoor season.
The MAAC released its preseason coaches' polls on Friday afternoon. The men's team was picked to finish seventh, while the women's team was tabbed for eighth.

Saturday's meet will the lone one of the 2021 portion of the calendar. Following winter break, the Red Foxes will resume competition on Jan. 15.
This year's MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, Feb. 19 and Sunday, Feb. 20 at the New Balance Armory Track and Field Center in New York City. It will mark the 18
th consecutive season the championships will be held at this venue.
