POUGHKEEPSIE, New York– The Marist softball team has released its 2022 schedule. The Red Foxes look to build off of last season's shortened schedule which saw the team go 15-12 overall and 12-10 in the conference. Marist is set to play 52 regular-season contests this year in six different states (New York, New Jersey, Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina, Arizona, and California).
 

Tournaments

The team will play in a total of four tournaments, all of which will be on the road. In the first tournament, (Feb.18-20) the Red Foxes will travel to Wilmington, NC for five games against UNCW and Bucknell. 
 
The following weekend (Feb. 25-27) Marist will play an additional five games in Deland, FL against Stetson, Harvard, and URI. In the first weekend of March (4-6), the Red Foxes will travel to Hammond, Louisiana to match-up against Gardner Webb, SLU, and Buffalo.
 
Marist will be back on the road March 11-13 in Tucson, AZ for 5 games against Yale, UNLV, and Arizona. The trip concludes with a single game against Arizona State on March 15th. The final tournament will be in Stockton, CA on March 17-19 for five games against Iowa St, Pacific, Sacramento State, and Santa Clara. 
 

Non-Conference

Marist is set to match up against three non-conference foes in doubleheaders. Marist will travel to Drexel for a doublheader on April 5. The Red Foxes will host the Seton Hall Pirates on April 20 and the Lafayette Leopards on May 3. 
 

MAAC Opponents

Marist will play 10 conference doubleheaders, one against each Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference competitor. The teams that will make the trip to Poughkeepsie this year are Iona (April 9), Fairfield (April 10), Monmouth (April 16), Siena (April 23), and Rider (May 1).
 
The Red Foxes will be on the road against Niagara (April 2), Canisius (April 3), Manhattan (April 27), Quinnipiac (April 30), and St. Peter's (May 7).
 

MAAC Championship

This year's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships will take place from May 11-15th with higher seeds hosting.
